Boleslaw "Ben" Zentek

Boleslaw "Ben" Zentek, age 85 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, June 14, 1922, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary Grocek Zentek. He was a lifelong resident of Delaware Township, NJ.

A lifelong farmer on the Zentek Farm, Sergeantsville, NJ, Mr. Zentek was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and during the 1930's and 1940's, played baseball for the Sergeantsville Clippers. He was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ.

Mr. Zentek was pre-deceased by a sister, Helen Harvey and two brothers, Thaddeus and Edward Zentek.

Surviving are his twin sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Bob Zorella of Delaware Township, NJ; a sister, Florence Croasdale of Delaware Township, NJ; a sister, Jennie Filippello of Ringoes, NJ; a sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and Russ Spinks of Layton, NJ; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Zentek of Sayerville, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
