Brian S. Grare, age 28 years, of High Bridge, NJ, died suddenly on Monday, September 6, 2010 in Avalon, NJ.
Born on September 25, 1981 in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of Scott J. and Judith Anne Markham Grare of Lebanon Township, NJ. He was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ.
A 1999 graduate of Voorhees High School, Brian went on to receive his degree from the University of Rhode Island in 2003. An avid sports fan, particularly of the New York Mets and New York Jets, he played baseball, basketball and soccer while at Voorhees and lacrosse while in college.
Brian was currently an Audit Supervisor for EisnerAmper, LLP, Bridgewater, NJ, formerly known as Amper, Politziner & Mattia, LLP, where he had worked for the past seven years.
A member of the NJCPA, he was the Co-Chair of a newly formed group of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, the “Young Professionals of Hunterdon County.” His charter membership and leadership will always be remembered.
Brian’s character was steadfast, his leadership admired and his professionalism appreciated by all who met him, worked with him and called him friend.
It was on May 15, 2010 that Brian married his longtime love, Amanda L. Wise.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and his parents, are a brother, Christopher James Grare of Hoboken, NJ; his paternal grandparents, Peter and Carol Grare of Newbern, NC; his maternal grandparents, John and Madeline Markham of South Plainfield, NJ; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Victoria and Robert Wise of Lebanon, NJ; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in the Old Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Halstead Street, Clinton, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday from 1:00-3:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
