Bronislaw H. Najnigier

Bronislaw H. Najnigier, age 88, of Huntington, CT, died Sunday, November 2, 2014.

He was the loving father of Kyra N. Lindemann of Ringoes, NJ, and Michael G. Najnigier and daughter-in-law, Jill Najnigier of Boston, and the cherished grandfather -- “Dziada” – to Nicholas A. Najnigier, Oliver R. Najnigier and Mikael H. Lindemann.

Born in Kamienica Polska, Poland, January 19, 1926, he was the son of the late Bronislaw and Natalia Goldsztajn Najnigier. Bronislaw left Poland in 1945 and joined the Church World Service organization in Germany where he met his future wife, Tatjana Kropotkin. He immigrated to the United States in 1951 and Tatjana followed in 1952. Bronislaw received his engineering degree from the University of Bridgeport. Known as “Bronek”, he retired from a long career with General Electric and later Black & Decker.

He was the dear brother of the late Janina Macoch, Maria Maciejewska, Jadwiga Krzemieniewska, Marta Najnigier and Zdzislaw Andrew Najnigier. He is survived by his brother Bogumil Najnigier and sister Zdzislawa Dziedzic, and by many adoring nieces and nephews in Europe and Canada and very special friends and neighbors in Huntington, Ct.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Tatjana Kropotkin Najnigier whom he married on November 7, 1954.

Bronek loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, staying in touch with extended family through “skype”, working in the yard, and enjoying time with his wonderful neighbors.

A memorial mass will be held in his honor on Thursday, November 13, at 11:30 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Parish, 505 Shelton Ave., Huntington, CT. 06484. He was a parishioner at St. Lawrence since 1979.
