Bruce Guthrie Budde

Bruce Guthrie Budde died at Triumph Hospital, Easton, PA on December 17, 2007 of complications following a stroke. He was 60.

He was born in Teaneck, NJ to the late Grace (Guthrie) Budde and Louis A. Budde. He has lived in Flemington, NJ for the last twenty-nine years.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Kathryn R. Budde, and two children, Eric L. Budde of Willamsburg, VA and Leighann E. Budde of Indialantic, FL. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Stacy, a brother, Neil G. Budde, of Waynesville, NC and his wife Ansie, a sister, Nan Schwartz, of Riverside, CT and her husband Herb, one grandchild, Ryan Bruce Budde and many nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelors of Business Administration. He retired from Unisys after thirty years, and most recently was a Realtor with Prudential in Clinton, NJ. He loved to sing, and was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church chancel choir, as well as an elder in the church. He also sang with the Hunterdon Harmonizers. He enjoyed gardening and loved to travel, which he did extensively.

He had a sparkling personality, and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
