C. Gregory Watts, age 75 years, of Delaware Township (Sergeantsville), NJ, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Greenwich, CT, May 22, 1948, son of the late William Charles Watts and Dorothy Hall Watts, he had resided in Delaware Township, NJ since 1977.
An attorney, Greg was a 1970 graduate of Lafayette College and received his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University in 1973.
He practiced law in Flemington all his working life, first as a member of the law firm of Large, Scammell & Danziger and later with the law firm of Watts, Tice & Skowronek, of Flemington, NJ. During his years of practice he served as municipal attorney for local Hunterdon County municipalities and utility authorities.
Greg was a member and Past President of the Hunterdon County Bar Association; formerly served as Chairperson of the Large Foundation; and was a former board member of the Hunterdon Medical Center. In addition, he was a former member of the Flemington Rotary and former board member of the Center for Educational Advancement. A lifelong golfer, he was a longtime member of Copper Hill Country Club.
His first wife, Leslie Ann Watts, whom he married in 1971, died in 1993.
Surviving are his wife of twenty-five years, Eileen Wolfe; his three sons, Taylor Gregory Watts of Tamarac, FL, Charles Spencer Watts and his wife Erina of Shrewsbury, NJ and Randall Sinclair Watts and his wife Melissa of Millington, NJ; three grandchildren, Leslie Jane Watts, Alexson Charles Watts and Connor Gregory Watts; his brother, William Stewart Watts and his wife Jane of Vero Beach, FL; and his beloved niece and nephew, Brianna Wolfe of Lexington, KY and William Wolfe of Easton, PA.
All cremation arrangements are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, N. A public celebration of his life service will be held at a later date, time and venue to be announced.
