Calvin Coolidge Cornell, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Berwin, IL, November 4, 1924, he was the son of the late Sofas and Michalina Superczynski Cornell. He had formerly resided in Basking Ridge, NJ.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He retired from AT&T where he was an industrial engineering planner.

He was a member of the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church; the Telecomm Pioneers, and the 11th Armored Division Association.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Elinor M. Von Lohberg Cornell; two sons, Craig Calvin Cornell of Davis, CA, and Steven Scott Cornell of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Thelma Stefani of Napierville, IL; and a grandson, Adam C. Cornell of Flemington, NJ.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 2PM in the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Street, Liberty Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in the Liberty Corner Presbyterian Cemetery, Liberty Corner, NJ at a later date.
