Carl D. Hockenbury, age 75 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Friday, December 23, 2005, in Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ.

Born in Mount Airy, NJ, June 29, 1930, he was the son of the late Levi and Myrtie Parkes Hockenbury.

He was an Animal Specialist with Merck & Co., Branchburg, NJ, retiring in 1993. Prior to that, he was a dairy farmer for many years, and was a DHIA Milk Tester.

He was a 1948 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ.

He was a member of the Hunterdon County and State Holstein Association for many years. He was formerly a volunteer with the Somerset County 4H Club. He was the Past Master of Riverside Grange, Three Bridges, NJ.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Anna-Marie Hoser Hockenbury; two daughters; Carla Hockenbury of Vineland, NJ, and Caren Lloyd of Flemington, NJ; two sons; Craig Hockenbury of Union, NJ, and Clark Hockenbury of Hopedale, MA; a sister, Nancy Ringer, of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Irvin Hockenbury, of Raritan Township, NJ; and six grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment services will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
