Carmella L. Whitworth of Glen Gardner NJ, age 48, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia PA. She lived in Hunterdon County NJ all of her life.
Born August 20, 1972 in Phillipsburg NJ, Carmella was the daughter of Jack W. Barnes and the late Pamella J. (Riddle) Barnes.
She was a graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School and loved anything that was the color purple. She worked in many different positions at Hunterdon Medical Center as a Front Desk Coordinator, and most recently had that position for Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates in Flemington NJ.
In her free time, Carmella enjoyed many shows on her favorite network, the Hallmark Channel. She loved to go fishing for bass and attending local zoos and live music concerts, especially those that featured country music artists like Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and others.
In addition to her mother in 2017, Carmella was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Steven Whitworth. She is survived by her husband of nine years, Clark E. Whitworth, her father, Jack W. Barnes of Milford NJ, her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Kathleen Barnes, II, of Bridgewater NJ, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pamela and Fred Worton of Holland PA, her mother-in-law, Joan Whitworth of Holland PA, her three nephews, Luke Barnes, Ryan Barnes and Zach Worton, her niece, Chandler Worton, and Summer, whom she watched and loved as her own child.
Funeral service officiated by the Rev. Christopher Small will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Interment will follow in Milford Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
