Carol A. Kulick

Mrs. Carol A. (Chismar) Kulick, 79, a resident of Flemington, New Jersey, formerly of Wilkes-Barre's North End neighborhood, passed peacefully into eternal life Saturday morning in the presence of her family following a prolonged battle with Multiple Sclerosis, a cross she bore for many years. Born November 24, 1940 in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was one of three daughters to the late Stephen and Mary (Elko) Chismar. Educated locally, she graduated the former Sacred Heart of Jesus Parochial School in North Wilkes-Barre and then became a member of the 1958 graduating class of the James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. Following her family's relocation to New Jersey after the collapse of Wyoming Valley's coal mining industry, she took employment as a municipal clerk with Raritan Township, New Jersey. Carol is remembered as being a loving devoted mother, grandmother and sister to her family as well as dear friend to those she touched in this life. Her presence will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was sadly preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Kulick this past Monday, April 13th. Left to cherish the wonderful memories they hold of her are her son, Peter Kulick, Jr. of Flemington, NJ, with whom she resided during her illness; Daughter, Karen Beth Berney and her husband Stephen of North Carolina and their children, Adam, Brianne and Alexander Berney; Sisters, Joan Kaminski of Wilkes-Barre and Mary Claire Sabatini of Kingston; Several nieces, nephews, former spouse and caregiver, Peter Kulick Sr. of Flemington and many dear friends. Funeral services for Carol are in the care of the North Wilkes-Barre location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., and will be held privately at this time. Interment will be next to her parents in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, located on Cemetery Street, Plains Township, PA. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Carol A.
