Caroline L. Kahlke

Caroline L. Kahlke, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015, at Bridgeway Care Center, Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in Staten Island, NY, September 6, 1927,to Mary and Hector Gherzo, she was pre-deceased by her parents, a brother, Peter Cirina, twin brother, John Gherzo, and sister, Rose Jason.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Hartwig H. Kahlke; four children, William Kahlke of High Bridge, NJ, Mary Jane Gardner of Flemington, NJ, Stephen Kahlke of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., and James Kahlke of Flemington, NJ.; four grandchildren; a sister, Joan Lord of Dallas, TX.; and several nieces and nephews.

Caroline was a loving wife and mother who always said life was about family and she spent a lifetime raising and taking care of her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family. Rest In Peace Mom.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 18, 2015, at 11:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday 6:00-9:00 PM.

A reception will follow the funeral service. Interment will be at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ. 08822.
