Carolyn Catania Metz

Carolyn Catania Metz, age 77 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died Monday, July 23, 2018, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Ladysmith, WI., September 12, 1940, daughter of the late Anthony and Vena Vitcenda Catania, she had resided in Readington Township since 1993. She was a Professor of Anthropology at the College of New Jersey before retiring, and served with the US Peace Corps. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Jake Ruscher of Califon, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Cameron Anthony and Suzanne Metz of Nazareth, PA.; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Brendan, Madeleine, Mackenzie, and Emily. Arrangements are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
