Carolyn K. Moreton

Carolyn K. Moreton, age 73, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at her home in Raritan Township NJ after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born November 6, 1945, in Newark NJ, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy Kalin. She was raised in Union NJ, attended Union Public Schools, and graduated from Union High School in 1963. Carolyn was a member of the Kilburn Memorial Presbyterian Church, Newark, NJ, and part of the youth groups there. Carolyn worked for Chubb and Sons of Short Hills NJ for years, before becoming a homemaker. She took care of landscaping for some churches in the area and at her previous resident complex. Some of her favorite things included watching hot air balloons take flight and took part as a team setting them up and chasing them as they landed. She loved her cats and watching Monarch butterflies grow from larvae to flight. Carolyn was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Ronald Moreton, earlier this year. She is survived by her sister Barbara (nee Kalin) Galindo, brother-in-law, Israel Galindo of Decatur Ga. and nephews, Douglas of VA. and Thomas of PA. A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Michael Atzert, will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Hopewell Borough NJ. Friends may call Saturday morning from 10:30 until the time of service at the funeral home.
