Catherine Ann Dudzinski

Catherine Ann Dudzinski, age 91, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. She was born June 28, 1923 in Pittston, PA, and was the ninth of twelve children to the late Michael and Mary (Kopcha) Czar. Catherine was a 1947 graduate of the cadet program of Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and she became an RN. She had a passion for helping others and caring for them in their time of need and was awarded the Guggenheim Medal for Outstanding Bedside Nursing. Catherine’s generosity touched many lives, her caring and love for others, along with her family, were the cornerstones of her life. Catherine met her beloved husband, Walter Dudzinski in 1946 and was married in 1948; they were married for 66 years. In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her three children (and their spouses), Deanna, Walter, Jr. (Leslie), and Edward (Denise), six grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Jennifer (Micah), Brian, Natasha, and Matthew, two twin great-grandsons, Baruch and Yoni, as well as her sister, Marge Russo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
