Catherine Giffin

Catherine Giffin, age 80 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Monday, April 7, 2014, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.

Born in Staten Island, NY, December 21, 1933, daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy Lucey Stachlik, she had resided in East Amwell Township since 1997 and had formerly resided in Mendham, NJ and Piscataway, NJ.

She was a graduate of Fordham University and was formerly a manager with AT&T, Basking Ridge, NJ.

An active volunteer for many years, she volunteered at Seeing Eye, St. Magdalen Church and at the Hunterdon County Library.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Cesare of Flemington, NJ; a son Bill Giffin of San Leandro, CA.; and five grandchildren, Vincent, Jonathan, Christopher, Joseph and Lindsay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 11, 2014, at 10:30AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday,5:00-8:00PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
