Catherine Lambert, age 94 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Raritan Township, July 16, 1927, daughter of the late John B. and Reba Pegg McPherson, she had resided in Raritan Township her entire life.
Catherine was a graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1945, and was a member of the Larison’s Corner Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ.
Kay loved all her family, loved to bake and to go out to eat as well as sitting and rocking on her front porch.
She was formerly a telephone operator for NJ Bell Telephone Company, Flemington, NJ and later was a cafeteria manager at Robert Hunter School Elementary School, Raritan Township, until retiring. Catherine was also secretary for Sand Brook Cemetery for many years.
Her husband, Orville W. Lambert, died in 2011.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Judy Lambert of Phillipsburg, NJ; three daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Ken Niece of Flemington, NJ, Bonnie and Jim Pepin of North Carolina, and Mariann and Albie Sanguiliano of Flemington, NJ; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A special thank you to Zelda, her caregiver, for her care and compassion the past two and a half years.
Funeral services and interment in Sand Brook Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ, will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
