Charles E. Danberry

Charles E. Danberry, age 93 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at his home.

Born in Ringoes, NJ, February 25, 1917, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Holcombe Danberry. He was a lifelong resident of East Amwell Township.

A 1935 graduate of Flemington High School, he was a member of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, and an Elder in the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Amwell.

He was the retired owner and operator of Danberry Garage, which was also a Chevrolet dealership, retirng in 1981. He was transportation manager for the East Amwell Schools and then was employed by NAPA, Flemington, NJ.

Surviving are his wife of seventy years, Lois Strouse Danberry; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan C. and Cindy Danberry of Ringoes, NJ; and a grandson, Jonathan C. Danberry, Jr. of Ringoes, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
