Charles "Ed" Edouard Houriet, Jr.

Charles Edouard Houriet, Jr., 85, passed away on May 17, 2020 at his home in New York City.

Born on May 16, 1935 in Miami, Florida he was the son of Charles Edouard, Sr., and Mary Adamson Houriet. Throughout his life, he lived in Haiti, Canada, New York City, Puerto Rico, and in Providence, Rhode Island.

Ed attended Moses Brown School (class of 1954) and graduated from Brown University, both in Providence, Rhode Island. After college he lived in New York City, and worked as a stockbroker for most of his career. He was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church, a Mason, and a longtime member of the New York Athletic Club. While at Brown, he took a two-year hiatus and enlisted in the United States Army.

Ed was an avid sports fan, most notably a boxing enthusiast.

He is survived by his brother, John W. Houriet, Sr. (Alice), his nephews, John W. Houriet, Jr. (Laura) and Andrew Edouard Houriet (Denise), his great nephews, Andrew, Jr., Nicholas, Alexander, Mason and John Csaszar (Miranda), and his great-great niece, Cora Csaszar.

Donations in his memory may be sent to Moses Brown School, 250 Lloyd Avenue, Providence, RI 02906.

Services, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, will be private.
