Charles M. Case

Charles M. Case, age 81 years, of Hopewell, NJ (East Amwell Township) died Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his home.

Born in Trenton, NJ, March 7, 1941, son of the late Warren and Ada Case, he had resided in the Hopewell area most of his life and in East Amwell Township since 1978.

A graduate of Princeton High School and Rider College, he was an accountant and was a partner at Case & Barlow, Flemington, NJ which is now Withum, Smith & Brown in Whippany, NJ.

Charles was an active lifetime member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, which he served in various capacities including Administrative Council Chairman and Finance Committee Chairman. He was also a trustee of the church and a former member of the church choir. Charles was also very active in the Flemington Exchange Club serving as its President and its Treasurer. In addition, he was a former Treasurer of the District Exchange Club. Charles was a member of the NJ State Society of CPA’s; a former board member of the Center for Educational Advancement, Flemington, NJ and was Past Secretary of the Hopewell Fire Dept.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-eight years, Francina Blackwell Case; three sons, Douglas (Tracy) Case, David (Wendy) Case and Richard (Colleen) Case; and ten grandchildren, Phillip, Brendan, Kaitlin, Megan, Emily, Andrew, Kevin, Nicholas, Erica and Savannah. Also surviving are his brother-in-law; his sister-in-law; two cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 20 Blackwell Avenue, Hopewell, NJ with Rev. Dr. Willy Mafuta officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.
