Charles Robert Fox

Charles Robert "Bob" Fox, age 79 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ., surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in Plainfield, NJ, and resided in Edison, NJ, before moving to Franklin Township in 1972. Before retiring, he was a partner in the George Fox Nursery, Plainfield, NJ.

An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed bluegrass music, and was formerly active in Franklin Township civic affairs.

He was a former Franklin Township Committeman and a former Mayor and was also a former member of the Franklin Township Board of Adjustment. Bob will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

He was pre-deceased by his brother, Franklin, and two sisters, Gladys and Laverne.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Carol English Fox; three daughters, Laurel Fox of Carpentersville, NJ, Karen Fox of Milford, NJ, and Nancy Fox-Reed of Pittstown, NJ; a son, Robert Fox of Pittstown, NJ; a sister, Barbara Krasucki of Edison, NJ and four grandchildren.

Services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
