Charles V. Sherman

Charles V. Sherman, age 83 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, November 24, 1930, son of Ruth German Sherman of Doylestown, PA and the late Vince Charles Sherman, he was a lifelong area resident.

He worked for 42 and a half years at the Hunterdon County Democrat as a typesetter.

In addition to his father, Charles was pre-deceased by his wife, Bernadine Hudock Sherman and a son-in-law, Kenny Hufnagel.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Wendy Sherman of Glen Gardner, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Dennis Nelson of Flemington, NJ, a daughter, Lynn Sherman in Florida, a daughter and her partner, Gail Hufnagel and Larry Seagrave of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Lois Worthington of Lititz, PA; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
