Chester A. Schultz, age 94 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in New York City, October 10, 1918, son of the late August and Natalie Lange Schultz, he had resided in Franklin Township over eighty years.
A former poultry farmer, he later became an electrical contractor operating Schultz & Tinnes Electrical Contractors.
Chet was a member of the Quakertown Gun Club and the Hunterdon County Electrical Contractors Association.
He enjoyed local community athletics and watching his grandchildren participate in these activities.
His wife, Thora Tange Schultz, died in 1974, a son, Terry Schultz, died in 2012, and his brother, John Schultz, died in 2007.
Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Sozanski of Pittstown, NJ; three sons, Chester Schultz, Jr. of Jutland, NJ, Denny Schultz of Wellsboro, PA, and James Schultz of Ewing, NJ; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10:00AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Skylands Girls Fast Pitch Softball or North Hunterdon Wrestling Club.
