Chester Hall, age 97 years, of Stanton, NJ, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at his home.
A lifelong resident of Stanton, he was born October 5, 1915, son of the late Charles and Georgianna Smith Hall.
A graduate of Flemington High School, Class of 1932, he also graduated in 1962 from Rutgers University where he was second in his class. An appliance sales and serviceman, he first was employed by Horace Brokaw, Centerville,NJ, and then operated his own appliance sales and service business. He was also a licensed electrician and refrigeration technician. Until he retired, he was lastly employed as an analyst at the NJ Dept. of Industry & Labor, Trenton, NJ.
He was a member of the Stanton Reformed Church and of Darcy Lodge #37 F. & A.M. of Flemington, NJ.
His wife, Dolores Luster Hall, died in 2002. He was also pre-deceased by two sisters and a brother. Surviving are a son, Kerry J. Hall of Stanton, NJ; a grandson, Keith C. Hall of Flemington, NJ and a great grandson, Zachary W. Hall of Flemington, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday 6:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
