Chester J. Micek

Chester J. Micek, age 89 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at his residence.

Born in New York City, NY, July 3, 1917, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Tencza Micek. He had formerly resided in Roswell, GA, Cranford, NJ, and Linden, NJ.

He was a graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and was formerly the Senior Vice-President of Simmons Co.

He was a United States Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-five years, Sophie Geraldine Brzezinski Micek; a son, Chester Micek, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Susanne Micek-Davidson of Delaware Township, NJ, and Karen I. Henning of Plano, TX; a brother, Dr. Edward Micek of Thompson, CT; a sister, Stella Samuels of Houston, TX, and four grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. John The Evangelist Church, Lambertville, NJ on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
