Chief Bruce W. Mast

Chief Bruce W. Mast, age 52 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Glen Cove, NY, February 7, 1958, son of Thomas B. and Eileen Harvey Mast of Delaware Township, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident.

A 1977 graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Raritan Township, NJ, Bruce was a thirty-two year member of the Delaware Township Police Department. He retired this month after serving as Chief of the department for the past several years. Additionally he was a member of the Hunterdon County Police Chiefs Association.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Reath Esposito Mast; three children, Samantha, Taylor and Cassidy Mast, all at home; Three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Mast of Mahopac, NY, Richard and Deborah Mast of Prior Lake, MN and Jeffrey and Alicia Mast of Sperry, OK; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Neal and Marie Esposito of Stockton, NJ; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leigh and Phil Ford of West Amwell Township, NJ; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Frank and Susan Emanuele.

Funeral Services will take place Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Friday. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
