Christina Leili Inglin, age 64, of Hillsborough Township, NJ passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Friday, September 8, 2023.
Chris was born in Raritan Township, NJ on March 15, 1959. She was the daughter of the late Adalbert and Anna (Merk) Leili. They, along with their three older children, had immigrated to the USA during the post WWII years. Her mother, Anna, always told her that she was their "American Princess," because she never knew the hardships experienced in Germany during and after The War...and that was good! Christina's childhood was happy and wonderful, as were her teenage years. Chris graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School "Class of 1977."
Chris loved family and friends! A devoted wife and adoring mother, caring for her family was her highest priority. She loved Trevor and Suzie "to the moon and back!" They were her world! She delighted in each of their simple pleasures, accomplishments, special moments and/or celebrations for any reason, as she guided them through daily life. Chris had patience beyond many, as she was never far from her dear son, Trevor...and always, his primary care giver.
Chris enjoyed dining out, especially going to her favorite Flemington pizzerias - Joe's and Delizia’s. And, she always brought home leftovers to share with the family dog, Louie. Given the opportunity, Chris always enjoyed dancing, spending time laughing with friends and traveling to the shore in Wildwood. Chris always enjoyed watching movies! ...From those Friday night movie outings with her dear friend, Sue, to movies in the comfort "at home!" Chris also enjoyed painting and her creativity bounded during the pandemic as she painted rocks. It was a newfound pleasure that will always bring a smile when they are noticed in the backyard of the Inglin home.
Chris was a former parishioner of St. Magdalen Roman Catholic Church, Flemington, NJ. This is where she married her beloved husband of 40 years, David, on July 2, 1983. Most recently, she attended Mary Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, Hillsborough, NJ.
Chris was employed by the Hillsborough Board of Education for more than a decade as a lunch aid at Woodfern Elementary School, as well as a bus aid. Her caring nature, love of children and patience suited her so well for these dedicated positions of serving in the community.
In addition to her parents, Christina was predeceased by her siblings: Albert Leili Jr., Rosalie Wolf, and Ann Kramer.
Chris is survived by her husband of 40 years, David L. Inglin, her children, Trevor Thomas and Susanna Rose Inglin, along with Timothy D. Erdman, Suzie's fiancé, all of Hillsborough...and her handsome, sweet dog, Louie.
A visitation will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
