Constance Dilucantonio, age 95 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Sunday, June 15, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ with her family by her side. She was a very special lady that everyone loved, and she will never be forgotten.
Born in Glen Lyon, PA, July 19, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Mauro and Maria Carmella Schiro Cardone. She had previously resided in Manville, NJ, before moving to Flemington eighteen years ago.
She was a beautician and cosemetician in Manville, NJ and was one of the first school crossing guards at the Roosevelt School in Manville.
She was past president of the Manville PTA, and a founding member of Christ The King Church, Manville, NJ, member of the Rosary Altar Society, former CCD teacher and volunteer at the church.
She enjoyed crafts, particularly making jewelry and hankie boxes. She also enjoyed reading mysteries and completing crossword puzzles.
Her husband, Anthony Joseph Dilucantonio, died in 1975. She was the matriarch of the family. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Gilbert Denti of Flemington, NJ; a granddaughter, Kelly Denti of Sergeantsville, NJ; a great granddaughter, Ashley Denti of Sergeantsville, NJ; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 9 AM in Christ The King Church, Manville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
