Constance M. Dieterle

Constance Marion Dieterle, 90, passed away on February 2, 2014 at Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Connie (or Bunny as she was known to close friends and family) was born on February 20, 1923 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Harry and Josephine Levers.

Connie grew up in Roselle Park and Elizabeth, New Jersey, and graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She received a Diploma from the Katherine Gibbs School in New York City, and enjoyed a successful career at Western Electric, General Electric and BioMedical Systems, Inc. in Danbury, CT as an Executive Secretary.

Connie met and married Kurt Dieterle in Danbury, CT, and it was with her beloved Kurt that she discovered her passion for world travel. Together, Kurt and Connie journeyed to many countries and continents. When she returned home, Connie always brought treats and souvenirs for her family and friends, and took great pleasure in sharing slideshows and telling stories from her trips.

When Connie was not travelling, she could be found spending time with her sister, Claire (“Sis”), brother-in-law, Peter Zachares, and daughter, Lynne McClintock. Connie relocated to Flemington, New Jersey many years ago to be closer to her daughter, Lynne McClintock. She adored her grandchildren and showered them with love and attention. She was a member of AARP and the Flemington Presbyterian Church.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Lynne (Michael) McClintock of Flemington, NJ, her granddaughters, Rebecca Sansky (Levi) Henninger, Lincoln Park, NJ, Kaitlyn McClintock, Flemington, NJ, Jennie (Nick) McClintock Pileggi, Landsdale, PA, Amy McClintock (Paul) Freund, Haycock, PA, and Jan McClintock (Chris) Spink, Hatboro, PA. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Alaina and Luke Henninger, Autumn Buchner, Kayla Spink, and Nicholas and Dean Pileggi. She also has three nieces and two nephews.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Harry Levers, sister Claire Zachares, and husbands, Bud Vieweger and Kurt Dieterle.

A funeral service will be held at Holcombe–Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington, NJ at 11 AM, Friday, February 7th. The service will be officiated by the Reverend, Dr. Thomas Robinson of the Flemington Presbyterian Church. A visitation will be held at Holcombe-Fisher from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 6th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
