Cornelia R. Roselle, age 100 years, of Bound Brook, NJ, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Regency Jewish Heritage Care Center, Franklin Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 9, 1912, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Lobdell Smith, she resided most of her life in Flemington, NJ, and had resided in Bound Brook since 1997.
She was first employed by National Surety Co. and then by Mack Trucks, Bridgewater, NJ, until retiring.
A former longtime member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church and was active in its' After Hours Bible Study Group and its' Womens Senior Group. Cornelia was also formerly active with the Hunterdon Chapter of AARP and, at one time, attended the Three Bridges Reformed Church.
Her husband, J. Bradley Roselle, died in 1996 and her sister, Edith O'Hare, died in 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Connie Sopko of Bound Brook, NJ; a grandson, Jeffrey S. Sopko of Candlewood Lake, CT; and two great grandchildren, Juliana Sopko and Gabriel Sopko.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013, at 1:00PM in the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church, Mountain Avenue & Route 28, Bound Brook, NJ. Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Association For The Blind or the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
