Cornelius A. Vuyk

Cornelius A. Vuyk, age 77 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Plainfield, NJ, June 21, 1928, son of the late Adrian and Wilhelmina Vanderstam Vuyk, he had formerly reisded in North Plainfield, NJ before moving to Readington Township in 1978.

At one time, he was a manager at Half Moon Mfg., Plainfield, NJ (a horticultural products company).; then was employed by American Hoechst Corporation, Morristown, NJ.

Mr. Vuyk was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He also was a member of the Model Railroad Club, North Plainfield, NJ and was a former member of the Plainfield Barbershop Chorus.

Surviving are his wife, June Ryno Vuyk; a son, Jeffrey Vuyk of Readington Township, NJ; and two sisters, Helena Bailey and Geraldina Held, both of Grove City, PA.
