Curtis L. Laird, age 63 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Capital Health Systems, Mercer Campus, Trenton, NJ.
Born in Trenton, NJ, April 6, 1943, son of the late Thomas F. Laird, Sr. and the late Sarah Elizabeth Stackhouse Laird, he had resided in Kingwood Township the past fifteen years, having previously lived in Three Bridges, NJ, Flemington, NJ and Hopewell, NJ.
A Mechanic, he was last employed by Pro Chevrolet, Clinton, NJ. He formerly worked at Ditschman/Flemington Ford and also at Tire Associates, Flemington, NJ.
A United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Laird was a member of American Legion Post #339, Hopewell, NJ, as well as a former member of the Hopewell Fire Department.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Clarence G. Laird, Gerald D. Laird and Thomas F. "Pat" Laird.
Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Joyce L. Collings Laird; a daughter, Christine M. Tigar of Raritan Township, NJ; a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas R. and Terry Laird of Lower Saucon Township, PA; two grandchildren, Lauren Marie Laird and Kyle Thomas Laird of Lower Saucon Township, PA; and a sister-in-law, June Laird of Hopewell, NJ.
Visitation will take place Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
