Daniel Goodfriend

Daniel Goodfriend, age 92 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Monday, April 20, 2009, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

He was born on January 23, 1917, son of the late Henry and Bertha Goodfriend, and had formerly resided in Westfield, NJ, and Bridgewater, NJ.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

He was the self-employed owner of Goodfriend's Plumbing and Heating, retiring in 1982.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Beryl Goodfriend, in 2007. Surviving are two sons, Martin Goodfriend of Raritan Township, NJ, and James Goodfriend of Skillman, NJ; two daughters, Barbara Valen of Pittstown, NJ, and Kathy Dermody of Pittstown, NJ; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in the Flemington Jewish Community Center Cemetery.
