Daniel M. Rovensky

Daniel Michael Rovensky, known to most as “Farmer Dan,” age 35, of Lambertville NJ, died Monday, July 25, 2022 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden NJ. Born November 8, 1986 in New Brunswick NJ, Farmer Dan was the son of the late William S. Rovensky and Marilynn Norinsky. He was raised in Somerset and moved to Hunterdon County in 2000 and graduated in the Class of 2005 from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, where he played the trumpet as a member of the Marching Band, Pit Orchestra, and Jazz Band. Farmer Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape and Horticulture from the University of Vermont. Daniel was very proud of how much knowledge about nature and farming he had accrued and was able to share with so many people during his life. Farmer Dan was an organic farmer with a big heart for those that were under-represented. He felt that the injustices of the world needed attention and always tried to make the earth a better place for future generations. Growing organic food for others, especially micro-greens, was his way of showing his love to those he connected with. Dan was so proud to venture off on his own and found “Farmer Dan’s Ordanics” in the Princeton area and to better his communities in any way he could. He had a talent for writing poetry in his spare time, however, Farmer Dan’s happiest times were traveling to multiple locations with his many friends wherever the band Phish was performing. Dan was predeceased by his father, William S. Rovensky in 2012 and his mother, Marilynn Norinsky in 2013. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Allison Rovensky and Curtis Betz, as well as family and close friends. Graveside services for Dan will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington NJ. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
