David Alleavitch

David Alleavitch, age 85 years, of Salt Lake City, UT, died on Monday, January 30, 2006.

Born in New York City, NY, July 7, 1920, he had formerly resided in Long Island, NY, and Flemington, NJ.

He was employed by the Grumann Corporation, Farmingdale, NY, before retiring.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, and was a former member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Melanie Alleavitch, of Park City, UT; a step-daughter, Joan Cafro, of Flemington, NJ; a step-son, John Korbeil, of Readington, NJ; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
