David Anger, age 83 years, of Coopersburg, PA, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at his home.
David was born in Long Island, NY, September 4, 1937, son of the late Samuel and Lillian Shanahan Anger. He had formerly resided in Basking Ridge, NJ and had resided in Coopersburg for fourteen years.
A graduate of Hofstra University, he was a business executive with J C Penny Co. in New York City until retiring.
David served his country in the US Army and for many years and raised therapy dogs which he took to September 11 site in New York City. For many years David also visited hospitals, libraries and nursing homes with his beloved dogs.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina Sullivan and Ralph Shipman of Manassas, VA and Suzanne Anger of Sergeantsville, NJ; a son, Timothy Anger of Three Bridges, NJ; six grandchildren, Michael, Sabrina, and Sean Sullivan, Taylor and Gavin Shipman, and also by his beloved therapy dogs.
Interment in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ will be held at a later date due to Covid-19 and travel restrictions. Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
