David G. Johnson

David G. Johnson, age 79 years, of Easton PA, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.

Born in Bay Ridge, NY, February 24, 1942, son of the late David J. and Ruby Gardner Johnson, David had resided in Easton for twenty-five years and had formerly resided in Holland Township, NJ, Milford, NJ and Flemington, NJ.

Mr. Johnson was a United States Air Force veteran, serving from 1960-1964.

He was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School and was a truck driver for several business firms before retiring. After retiring, he began his favorite job as an Uber driver.

David was a member of the American Legion Post, Easton PA and was a former member of both the Clinton Elks Lodge and Holland Township Fire Company.

His son, David W. Johnson, died in 2018 and his niece, Jennifer Garboski Perehinys, died in 2019.

Surviving are a daughter, Ami Johnson Smith of Hamburg, PA; a sister, Margaret Garboski of Flemington, NJ; a nephew, David Garboski of Flemington, NJ; his niece’s husband, John Perehinys and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maggie, Grace and John Perehinys.

Arrangements and cremation are private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
