David H. Dietz, Ph.D.

David H. Dietz, Ph.D., age 60 years, of Union Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.

Born in Paterson, NJ, June 14, 1947, son of the late Julius and Alice Riley Dietz, he had resided in Union Township for the past twenty-three years, having previously lived in Millburn, NJ.

Mr. Dietz received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ and currently was a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department there.

He formerly worked as a Research Engineer for Foster Wheeler, Livingston, NJ.

He was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Grandin, NJ and also of the Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Surviving are his wife, Cathy Gerber Dietz; three daughters, all at home, Victoria Anne Dietz, Rebecca Riley Dietz and Martha Elizabeth Dietz; and a sister, Darien Lauten in New Hampshire.
