David Shai Asa

David Shai Asa, age 65 years, of Union Township, NJ, died on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Hunterdon Developmental Center, Clinton, NJ, where he had resided for most of his life.

Born in Livingston, NJ, June 4, 1958, he was the son of the late Dr. Maxim and Sara (Halbstein) Asa.

David was born with several disabilities and was not expected to live to adulthood. However, once he arrived at the developmental center, he flourished from the care provided and was able to live the best life possible.

Surviving are his siblings, Leora Rofulowitz and her husband Joseph of Freehold, NJ and Judy Reis of Webster, TX.

Interment in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
