Deborah “Jesse James” Smith, age 56 years, of Hampton, NJ, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her home.
Born in Gettysburg, PA, April 22, 1957, she had resided in the Hampton, NJ area for over twenty years, having formerly lived in Easton, PA and Gettysburg, PA.
A bartender for the New Hampton Inn, Hampton, NJ, she was a “jack of all trades,” who did everything from bartending to house painting. She would work tirelessly all day and complete any project she started. Having an eclectic taste in music, she was an avid card player and never met a crossword puzzle that she could not solve.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Carrie Starner of Gettysburg, PA; a daughter, Virginia Adams; her step-children whom she considered as her own, Irene Smith, Mike Smith, Jr., Hank Hendershot and and David Howey; her former husband, Mike Smith; her former sister-in-law and her husband, Barbara and Clarence Meshach; her grandchildren, Lee Starner, Jr, Carlee Starner, Hannah, Halie, Hank, Jr. and Destiny; and she will be greatly missed by her New Hampton Inn family and friends.
Everyone is invited to attend a Memorial Service which will take place Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the New Hampton Inn, 23 Musconetcong River Road, Hampton, NJ.
