Debra G. Ross

Debra G. Ross, age 60, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at her home in Delaware Township, NJ, surrounded by her family. Born April 18, 1954, in Plainfield, NJ, Debra was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeane (Lybrand) Good. She was raised in Clark, NJ, however, she had “southern roots” in South Carolina, where she vacationed every summer as a young girl. It was in Clark that she met her husband, Walter Ross, and they later moved to Delaware Township in 1993. Debra received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Elizabethtown College (PA) and began teaching first and second grade in Clark, NJ, for a short time in Three Bridges, NJ, and, for most of her career, at the Kingwood Township School in Frenchtown, NJ. Debra loved many things in her life - butterflies, flowers, sewing and needlepoint, any kind of shopping, and especially being a teacher; it was the love of her family that meant everything to her. Predeceased by her parents, Debra is survived by her husband of 36 years, Walter Ross, her daughter and son-in-law, Kali and Ted Kniesche of Lafayette, CA, her son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kasey Ross of Frenchtown, NJ, her sister, Bette Jo Streko of Watchung, NJ, and her four grandchildren, Max, Kelsey, Tyler, and Courtney. A memorial service is being planned privately. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
