Denice Wojtowicz

September 26, 1957 — January 1, 2025

Milford, NJ

Denice Wojtowicz, a cherished mother, grandmother, and fierce friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Raritan Township, New Jersey. Born on September 26, 1957, in Irvington, New Jersey, Denice led a life marked by dedication and passion for her family, gardening, crafting, cooking and baking. Denice grew up in Clark New Jesey and moved various times with her family to different New Jersey towns as well as a brief 2 year stay in Sudbury Massachusetts.

With a career that showcased her caring nature, Denice worked as a cosmetologist before taking great pride in her many years as a homemaker and wrangler of 3 active kids, always striving to make a positive and fun impact on those around her. As member of the PTA and a classroom mom, her crafty nature shone through as she supported her three children in their educational journeys. As her children grew up, Denice pursued roles as a swim instructor and home health aid, both showing her deep compassion for others.

Denice embraced life with enthusiasm.  An accomplished athlete in her youth, she participated in field hockey and softball during high school, displaying a competitive spirit that carried throughout her life. A music aficionado, she found joy in classic rock, with favorites including Aerosmith, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Guns-N-Roses, and Yes, often filling her home and car with the sounds of her beloved bands.

Denice cherished the simple pleasures in life, creating lasting memories with her family “out on the boat” and by spending joyful times family vacationing at the Jersey Shore, frequenting Martell's Tiki Bar, Jenkinson's Pavilion, Point Pleasant, Wildwood and Lavalette, NJ. She also enjoyed watching films, especially those based on true stories, further reflecting her appreciation for real-life narratives.

Her creativity shone through her various hobbies; she was exceptionally crafty, making beautiful wreaths and engaging in other creative projects. Denice took pride in her bountiful garden, nurturing both flowers and vegetables, and relished the satisfaction of growing her own fruits to create delicious jams through her canning efforts. No holiday was complete without her made with love home cooked meal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas F. and Dorothy (Senick) Wojtowicz, and her sister, Kim Riccio. Denice's legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and unwavering spirit.

Denice is survived by her sister, Diane Wojtowicz Basil, as well as her loving family, including her children, Katherine and Stephen Siano of Sarasota, FL, Allison and Joseph Cunningham of Washington, NJ, and Brian Bollwage of Coronado, CA. She delighted in the company of her grandchildren, Vincent Siano, Joseph Cunningham, Jr., and Lillian Cunningham, who brought her immense joy.

*A celebration of Denice's life is being planned at Saint Gertrude’s Mausoleum, Colonia NJ for Spring 2025.  Please check this website for any further updates.*
