Denise A. Hilzer, age 78, died Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ, after a brief illness.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, October 15, 1937, Denise was the daughter of the late Edward and Constance (Pequino) Morgan. She was a resident of Raritan Township for more than 50 years.
Denise was a Manager for many years with Dunham’s Department Store in Flemington and then became an Administrative Assistant for Tredegar Corp. in Flemington.
She was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, member and former Regent of Daughters of the American Revolution- Colonel Lowrey Chapter, member of the Flemington Garden Guild, and Grange #12 of Ringoes.
In addition to her parents, Denise was predeceased by her first husband, Herbert "Bud" Anderson, Jr. in 1992 and by her second husband, Joseph Hilzer, in 2011, and brother Phillip Morgan. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Anderson of Cape Elizabeth, ME, her son, Jeffrey Anderson of Flemington, NJ, her daughter, Cynthia Wiley and husband, Donald, of Pennington, NJ, her brothers, Ted Morgan of Bradenton, FL, and Ken Morgan of Bethlehem, PA, her sisters, Anne Coffey of Skillman, NJ, Joan Sladek of Doylestown, PA, Cynthia Camlet of Saylorsburg, PA, her former son-in-law, James Doliner, former daughter-in-law, Deidre Anderson; and her eight grandchildren, Emily Doliner, Bradley Doliner, Sam Anderson, Drew Wiley, Jeff Wiley, Robby Wiley, Sally Anderson, and Meg Wiley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington. Calling hours will be Monday evening from 5 to 8 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Denise’s name may be made to the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 or St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
