Dennis A. Bacon

Dennis A. Bacon, age 79, of Raritan Township NJ, died Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township NJ.

Born March 7, 1943 in Wyckoff Heights NY, Dennis was the son of the late Michael B. and Florence A. (Beebe) Bacon.

Dennis worked for several manufacturing companies primarily as a machine operator. After retirement, he was very proud to sell as a vendor in the Englishtown (NJ) Flea Market and through his own Amazon Store for many years. Other favorite things included many trips to play poker at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City and Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem.

Dennis was a collector of baseball cards for many years and loved solving many types of puzzles, especially a good jigsaw puzzle. He loved listening to 50’s and 60’s oldies music and catching a favorite Honeymooners episode on television. Weather permitting, he enjoyed taking care of his swimming pool and throwing a frisbee to beloved dog, Ace.

Most of all, Dennis was a family man who would give a stranger the shirt from his back – always thinking of others before himself.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his wife, Catherine A. (Smith) Bacon and his daughter, Denise M. Bacon earlier in November 2022. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie A. Fagan and Brian Condon of Flemington NJ, his son, Dennis M. Bacon of Punta Gorda FL, his four grandchildren, Ashley Giacco, Michael Bacon, Tori Bacon, and Brandon Bacon, and his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra A. (Bacon) Erbs and Tom Erbs of Stockholm NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dennis’ name may be made to the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, 1100 Wescott Drive, Flemington NJ 08822.

Arrangements and cremation services were private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
