Dolores E. Walker, age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, October 27, 1946, daughter of the late Lester and Edna Melick Walker, she had resided in Hunterdon County all her life and in Raritan Township for the past fifty-three years.
Dolores was a homemaker, a caregiver for the elderly and a former waitress at Etzel’s Restaurant, Croton, NJ.
She was a member of the Frenchtown United Methodist Church and Dolores loved old country music, coffee, and her smokes. In addition, she was an avid collector of Teddy Bears and loved owls and horses. Most of all, she was a loving and proud grandmother of twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her companion of many years, Donald Luster, who died in 2009, her dear friend, Mary Luster, who died in 2010 and her brother, Donald Walker, who died in 1978.
Surviving are four daughters, Mary Luster of Frenchtown, NJ, Dawn Daugherty of Wartburg, TN, Wanda Plimpton of Alpha, NJ and Lynn Walker of Raritan Township, NJ; four sons, Donald Luster, Jr. of Glen Gardner, NJ, Thomas Luster of Washington, NJ, Samuel Walker of Dunnellon, FL and Scott Walker of Flemington, NJ; three brothers, Charles Walker of Washington, NJ, Dale Walker of Flemington, NJ and Ronald Walker of Frenchtown, NJ; and her twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday 9:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
