Donald E. Henry, Sr., age 78 years, of Tinton Falls, NJ, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Renaissance Gardens, Tinton Falls, NJ.
Born in Somerville, NJ, November 30, 1929, he was the son of the late Arthur Henry and Ada Bardo Henry. He had resided in Tinton Falls since 2005, having previously lived in Dennisville, NJ and Bridgewater, NJ.
A United States Navy Veteran, Mr. Henry was a Sheet Metal Worker for many years with Local #27, Middlesex, NJ. Additionally, he was a tremendous artist, particulary enjoying the fields of pottery and painting. He was a longtime member and former Deacon and Elder of the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church.
His wife of fifty-one years, Beverly A. Henry, died in 2006 and a son, Douglas Henry, died in 1959.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald E. and Valerie Henry, Jr., of Glen Ridge, NJ, David and Tonya Henry of Pueblo West, CO and Dale and Mary Alice Henry of Hamilton, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother, Richard Henry of Annandale, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Viewing will be Sunday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
