Donald F. Muller, age 91 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at his home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 31, 1919, son of the late George and Catherine Geary Muller, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1986.

A thirty year career United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II and Korea, Mr. Muller was honorably discharged at the rank of First Sergeant in 1972.

After his retirement from military service, Mr. Muller served as an EPA Inspector in Montgomergy County, MD until his retirement.

He was a member of the Marine Corps League; the Semper Fideles Society; and was a Plank Holder at the Air & Space Museum of the Smithsonian Institute, the Navy Museum in Washington, DC and the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA. Additionally, he was a member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation and a member of the Naval Museum at Pensacola, FL.

Mr. Muller also enjoyed giving historical presentations on military and aviation history to schools throughout Hunterdon County and the surrounding areas.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Leigh Muller; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Patti Bryan Muller of Centreville, VA and Andrew and Michele George of Raritan Township, NJ; two daughters, Kathleen Lunsford of Gaithersburg, MD and Karen Alesi of Browns Mills, NJ; and three grandchildren, Danielle George, Christina George and Andrew George.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA will be Private on Thursday. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
