Donald J. Luster

Donald J. Luster, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at his residence.

Born in Readington Township, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Smith Luster.

He was a heavy equipment operator with Luster Excavating, Flemington, NJ, and served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1958.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Larry Luster, and a sister, Margaret Brandt. Surviving are his wife, Mary Luster, of Phillipsburg, NJ, and his companion of forty years, Dolores Walker at home; four daughters, Mary Luster of Frenchtown, NJ, Dawn Daugherty of Wartburg, TN, Wanda Plimpton of Alpha, NJ, and Lynn Walker of Flemington, NJ; four sons, Donald Luster, Jr. of Glen Gardner, NJ, Thomas Luster of Washington, NJ, Samuel Walker of Ocala, FL, and Scott Walker of Flemington, NJ; five sisters, Betty Sabo of Flemington, NJ, Mary Hagerty of Tequesta, FL, Joyce Nagy of Port Murray, NJ, Patricia Oliver of Montrose, CO, and Barbara Jean Taylor of High Bridge, NJ; three brothers, Frank Luster of Ringoes, NJ, Jonathan Luster of Virginia, and Richard Luster of Flemington, NJ; twenty grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one grand puppy.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 10 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
