Donald L. Lerch, age 82 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains NJ.
Born in Reading PA, son of the late Clarence and Rose Unger Lerch, he formerly resided in Sterling Park VA, and had resided in Flemington since 1978.
Don was a Project Manager with AT&T for thirty-three years until retiring in 1989. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, an avid fisherman and hunter, and he was a member of the Round Valley Trout Association.
A daughter, Cynthia Lerch died in 1994. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Gloria Hassler Lerch and two sons and daughters-in-law, Marc and Mayte Lerch of Richmond, VA, and Keith and Denise Lerch of Berkeley Heights, NJ, two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Don Klaproth of Hillsborough, NJ, Karen and Tom Ferguson of Harding Township, NJ, and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 8 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be Wednesday at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, PA. Calling hours will be from 5 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
