Donald L. Niece

Donald L. Niece, age 83 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at his residence.

Born in Flemington, NJ, August 17, 1922, son of the late Harmon and Bessie Vogel Niece, he had resided in Flemington all his life.

He was formerly employed by Delaware Valley Famers Cooperative, Flemington, NJ, then by Johanna Farms, Raritan Township, NJ and subsequently was a School Bus Driver for handicapped children until retiring.

Mr. Niece was an United States Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. Additionally, he was a member of the Flemington Exempt Firemans Association, Darcy Lodge # 37 F. & A.M. of Flemington, NJ, and Clinton Chapter R.A.M. of Flemington, NJ.

An avid bowler, Mr. Niece was employed at the Flemington Fair Speedway for forty years.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, June Maxon Niece; two sons, Timothy Niece of Manchester, NJ and Kenneth Niece of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Cindy Wallace of Kunkeltown, PA; a brother, Douglas Niece of Raritan Township, NJ; seven grandhcildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
