Donald N. Pollard, Dds

Donald N. Pollard, DDS, age 87 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, NJ.

Born in Vineland, NJ, April 1, 1931, son of the late Samuel and Mildred Atkins Pollard, Dr. Pollard was a self-employed dentist, practicing in Ringoes, NJ for many years until retiring in 2004.

A graduate of Rutgers University and the NJ College of Dentistry, Dr. Pollard served in the United States Navy stationed in Japan with the occupation forces there during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Sergeantsville United Methodist Church; the Colonial Sportsman’s Club of Hopewell, NJ; and was an honorary member of the Amwell Valley Fire Co., Ringoes, NJ.

His twin sister, Dorothe Pollard, died in 2017.

Surviving are his wife, Norma Vigorita Pollard; a daughter, Cindy Chiera of Cold Spring, NY; a son, Dan Pollard of York PA; a brother, George Pollard of Millington, NJ and seven grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, 12 Noon-2:00PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. The funeral service and interment in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland, NJ will be private.
