Doris Ann Rake

Doris Ann Rake, age 45 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Friday, July 10, 2015, from a kayak accident on the Delaware River in Delaware Township, NJ.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 20, 1969, daughter of Joseph Rake of Whiting, NJ, and the late Mary Burd Rake, she had resided in Hunterdon County most of her life.

She was a graduate of the Harris School of Business and was Lab Manager for Dr. Marc Shaber in Flemington, NJ. She was a volunteer with the Sergeantsville Fire House and was always available to help others.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are a daughter, Cassie Haney of Flemington, NJ, a son, P. J. Angele of Flemington, NJ, three sisters, Elsie Fleming of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Elly Fama of Philadelphia PA, and Donna Gresko of Bordentown, NJ.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 Noon at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Harbourton Cemetery, Harbourton, NJ.
